1000 lb BONE STOCK GARDEN TRACTORS

GENERAL RULES

 

  1. All tractors must be safe
  2. In all classes the driver is responsible for safe operation of his/her tractor.  A driving test and/or verbal test is required for all new pullers and a one time drivers license issued to Jr. drivers under 13 years of age.
  3. Drivers must be able to properly operate controls while seated.
  4. All tractors with drivers will be weighed in and have hitch height checked before pulling in each class and remain in designated area.  All new tractors must be inspected prior to first hook.  All tractors may be inspected at any time for safety and to ensure they meet class rules.
  5. A& B Stock tractors must have head restraints and sufficient shielding of all moving parts. Fenders, floorboard, hood and grill are required in all classes. All tractors with custom or modified exhaust must be vertical + - 10°.
  6. A properly fitted DOT approved helmet is required for all drivers and must be strapped before entering the track.  In all classes drivers must wear closed toed footwear.  All classes over 20hp must have SFI approved jacket, pants and protective footwear.
  7. No one is allowed on the track except for track officials and contestants when the vehicle is under the green
  8. Tractors must be running when they enter the track and must be disengaged from the power unit, when being hitched to the sled.
  9. A & B Stock: Overall length including furtherest most point forward (weights & bracket) must not exceed 72" from center of rear axle.
  10. Wheely bars are required.  The bars must support the weight of the tractor and be no more than 5" off the ground and must extend at least 4" beyond the exterior of the tire and be separate from the hitch as per sketch.
  11. All pulls start with a tight hitch; no jerking permitted.   The sled must be pulled in a continuous motion, no intentional stopping and starting.  (Grounds for disqualification.)  If the proper attempt is not made as test puller, we will choose a new test puller.  All contestants will be allowed a second attempt if shut down before 25 feet  to start the sled, if time allows. In the event of a pull-off only one attempt will be allowed. In pull-off order of pull must be followed.
  12. An attempt is defined as moving the sled a measurable distance (1" or greater).
  13. All drivers and tractors may be weighed after pull.
  14. 4-wheel drive tractors are allowed if the front axle is disengaged.
  15. NO DUAL WHEELS, TIRE CHAINS, STUDS or ATV tires are allowed in any class.
  16. Decision of the track officials, flagman and sled operator will be final.  The three minute rule will only apply to the last tractor in the class.  The ability to drop back to last does not apply in a pull off.
  17. Test puller will be the person who draws the lowest number.  Puller must notify track official if he/she wants to take the first distance pulled, go again right away or go third (third position is defined as the position immediately following the next 2 competitors and their attempts) or go last before leaving the track. If track official is not notified, puller must take that pull.
  18. A tractor may be entered in only one division.
  19. Dead man throttle required for all classes except Bone Stock, and A & B Stock tractors.
  20. No consumption of alcoholic beverages prior to or during an event.
  21. Any non member pulling for the day must sign a club waiver.
  22. Track length to be determined by tire size (if track allows):
  23. 23 x10.5 x 12 = 100', 26 x12 x 12 = 125', 31 x 15.50 x 15 = 150
  24. No rescheduling of pulls or classes unless rescheduled by the fair.
  25. Registration of tractors will close at the beginning of drivers meeting. All drivers must attend drivers meeting in order to pull at the event. Drivers meeting to be held 15 minutes before starting time of the event. NEGTP Board of Directors has the right to start a pull with any class according to track conditions.
  26. All RPM restricted classes must have a club issued sticker visibly attached to a crank-related part (for tachometer reading).
  27. You must have at least 5 years experience or be 16 years old to compete in the 25hp class and up.  Everyone will be subject to a drivers test.
  28. ALL TRACTORS must have a kill switch with 1" ring centrally located at rear of tractor.
  29. Fuel applicable to class.  No nitrous oxide or Nitro or any pressurized fuel tanks permitted.
  30. Tractor must have 2" tractor numbers displayed on both sides of tractor.
  31. Must attend 50% of scheduled pulls to receive year end award. If tractor breaks down in first run and cannot pull second run that tractor will get last place point in that class, if puller dq's they will get first last, broken tractor gets 2nd last.
  32. All hitches will be measured to the highest most point. Meaning, that if your hitch is vertical it will be measured to the highest most point where the chain hooks.
  33. All tractors must have at least a 2" seat back.
  34. The club officials will have the right to have a floating finish line at any time they choose. All night pulls will be floating finish and only one round. All pull-off's will be floating finish.
  35. All work to be done on the tractors must be done off the track. (If you have to work on your tractor, move it off the track, to let the next person pull, then you can come back last.)
  36. At the discretion of the Safety/Tech Committee a tear down or other testing to verify the tractor is registered in the proper class may be performed with the driver and two (2) or more committee members only.

 

 

RULES FOR CLASSES

 

1000lb BONE STOCK TRACTORS

 

  1. This class will be for beginners only and there is no age limit for this class. Beginners defined as:  B Stock drivers and under.
  2. All tractors must have stock sheet metal, rear end, grill, engine or OEM replacement.
  3. No cutting of sheet metal, frame, or any other parts on the tractor.
  4. Must have stock front end in stock location and pivot.  Stock height tires (no small tires on front) and must have steel wheels. (no aluminum wheels)
  5. Rear tires must be no larger that 23 x 10.50 x 12.
  6. The RPM limit will be 3600.
  7. This class will run a 75' track and be limited to 2.5 MPH (if you exceed this limit, you will be disqualified).
  8. The hitch will be a maximum of 13" high and rigid in all directions.
  9. No lock rear ends, electric fuel pump, or cut tires allowed.
  10. All safety rules will apply.
  11. After winning point championship 2 times tractor and or driver may run for no points or move out of the class.

 

 

1050lb A STOCK JR & 1150 A STOCK SR GARDEN TRACTORS

 

  1. Factory appearing tin work, frame and engine with no visible performance alterations.
  2. Hitch must be no higher that 13" off the ground and rigid in all directions.
  3. Gasoline or diesel 0-14 hp flat head single cylinder engines.
  4. Tires must be turf or agricultural.  No cut tires or professional pulling tires.  Tire size must be no larger than 23 x 10.50 x 12.
  5. Jr. Division drivers must be 13 years old or younger as of the date of the first pull of the year. Drivers must register as a Jr. or Sr. for the year.
  6. Tractors may not override the governor, 4000 RPM maximum.
  7. Tractors may not have the following: electric fuel pumps, overhead valves, locked or posi rear ends.
  8. Stock appearing: Meaning you must have factory appearing stock length chassis and stock type front end in the stock location and must pivot.
  9. All tractors must run VP C-12 racing fuel, (green in color) with no additives.

 

 

1150lb B STOCK GARDEN TRACTORS

 

  1. Factory appearing tin work, frame and engine with no visible performance alterations.
  2. Hitch must be no higher than 13" of the ground and rigid in all directions.
  3. Gasoline or diesel engines only 16-20 hp.  Tires must be turf or agricultural. No cut tires or professional pulling tires.  Tire size must be no larger than 23 x 10.50 x 12.
  4. Tractors may not override the governor, 4000 RPM maximum.
  5. Stock appearing: Meaning you must have factory appearing stock length chassis and stock type front end in the stock location and must pivot.
  6. All tractors must run VP C-12 racing fuel, (green in color) with no additives.

 

 

1000lb STOCK ALTERED & X CLASS

 

  1. These classes will be run following NQS Rules

 

 

1050lb PRO-ALTERED (previously C Stock)

 

  1. This class will be run following NQS Pro-Altered Rules

 

 

1050lb SUPER STOCK GARDEN TRACTORS

 

  1. This class will be run following NQS Super Stock Rules

 

 

1300lb OUTLAW MODIFIED TRACTORS

 

  1. No more than 72" long from center of the rear axle to the furthest part forward including weights.
  2. No more than 54" in width to outside of tires.
  3. Hitch must be no higher than 13" off the ground and rigid in all directions.
  4. Maximum tire size is 26 x 12 x 12, may be cut.
  5. No automotive engines.
  6. 4 cylinder maximum.
  7. Must have rear fenders, hood and grill.
  8. Naturally aspirated or fuel injected and run on gasoline type fuels (no Alcohol).
  9. Maximum engine limit will be 1500cc after modifications.

 

 

1300lb RV MODIFIED TRACTORS

 

This class will run for exhibition at events, but will have points championship,

 

  1. Tractors will be no more than 116" long from rear axle center to front most part of weights or bracket and no more than 71" wide outside of tires.
  2. Single engine up to 4 cylinders and 1,500 cc motorcycle and snowmobile engines only. NO AUTOMOTIVE TYPE ENGINES.
  3. Maximum rear tire size 31x15.50x15.
  4. Mufflers are required on 2 cycle tractors.
  5. Must be naturally aspirated and run on gasoline type fuels (no Alcohol).
  6. Hitch must be no higher that 13" off the ground and rigid in all directions.

 

 

1400lb SUPER MODIFIED TRACTORS

 

  1. Maximum number of four cylinders, any combination reciprocating engines.
  2. Maximum rear tire 31 x 15.50 x 15.
  3. Maximum of 2337 cc.
  4. Hitch must be maximum of 13" high, rigid in all directions.
  5. Maximum tractor length of 8 feet from center of rear axle to the furthest point forward of tractor.
  6. Automotive in line engines must have national specification side shield, and drive line shields.
  7. Rear bumper pads 8" - 14" high, 3" behind rear tires minimum.
  8. All turbo's will have a .060" thick steel shield around them and their exhaust pipe will discharge vertically with cross bolts in end.
  9. All Super Modified drivers will wear a SFI approved single layer fire suit, full face helmet and protective footwear.
  10. May run with alcohol containing no additives.
  11. Must be automotive or industrial engines only.

 

 

 


 

CAUSES FOR DISQUALIFICATION AND

POSSIBLE LOSS OF POINTS FOR YEAR

 

 

  1. Driver must remain seated when tractor is in motion with one hand on the steering mechanism.
  2. If tractor tire touches the boundary line while hooked to the sled, the driver will be disqualified for that hitch.
  3. Any loss of weight or tractor parts, while hooked to sled, is grounds for disqualification for that hitch.
  4. Leaving the starting line under the red.
  5. Unsafe operation of competition vehicles at any time.
  6. Un-sportsmanlike conduct.
  7. All tractors must remain in the ring until their class has ended.
  8. Penalties for Fuel Violations:

    1st Offense - You will be disqualified and lose your points for the day.

    2nd Offense - Tractor will be disqualified for the season, meaning that the tractor will not attend any further pulls for the season, until the club officers meeting in November.

 

DEFINITION OF NATURALLY ASPIRATED -

NO BLOWERS, TURBO CHARGERS OR NITROUS OXIDE.
